Moving Boxes
Moving house or office? Quinocycle supplies moving boxes straight from our Balakong warehouse — Grade A used cartons that cost a fraction of new, and new single- and double-wall boxes for anything that deserves a fresh one. Every used box is checked by hand: rigid, dry and clean, or it doesn't get sold.

Why proper moving boxes beat free supermarket boxes
A cardboard box gets its strength from the fluted layer sandwiched between its liners — a row of tiny columns carrying the load. Free boxes scavenged from behind a shop have usually spent weeks crushed under other stock: the flutes are flattened, the board has taken moisture, and the sizes never match, so they stack crooked in the lorry and the bottom layer caves.
Purpose-supplied moving boxes are uniform, dry and rigid. Uniform sizes stack tight and stable; double-wall board — two fluted layers, five layers of paper in all — stays square under three or four tiers of load. That is the whole difference between unpacking your plates and sweeping them up.
Which sizes for which things
The one rule that matters: heavy items in small boxes, light items in big ones.
- Small — books, plates, kitchenware. Dense loads stay liftable only in a small box.
- Medium — folded clothes, shoes, toys, small appliances.
- Large double-wall — bedsheets, pillows, towels: bulky but light. The double wall keeps a full box from bulging.
- Keep every box under 15–20kg. If one person cannot lift it comfortably, split the load.
What moving boxes cost
Grade A used boxes start from RM0.90 each, with prices rising by size and wall thickness — and used large double-wall boxes are our best sellers for moves, because they pair double-wall strength with a used-box price. New boxes cost more and earn it when appearance or long-term storage matters. For a three-bedroom house needing 50–70 boxes, choosing used over new is a saving you can see.
Buying used is also the greener choice: every box bought used is a box that gets a second life instead of a landfill trip.
How many boxes will you need?
From the moves we supply: a rented room or studio takes 15–25 boxes, a two-bedroom home 30–45, and a three-bedroom home 50–70. Buy slightly over your estimate — unused boxes store flat, while running out the night before the lorry comes is a real problem. Our full room-by-room guide: How many boxes to move house in Malaysia.
